lyrics
welcome to my room
we’ll start the party soon
let’s definitely skip the foreplay
i know you want to do
i want to do it too
intentionally use some strong sway
let’s bring in others too
turn this into a zoo
passionately share this soiree
members of allihoopa
hit hit hit hit play
just try
to live in the moment
rely
on your confidence and show it
collaborate with others
they’re sisters and your brothers
let’s get this party started
let’s get into the mood
everybody get in tune
you know you wanna sing bout something
this party is for you
and you have a point of view
i know you love this beat this down swing
let’s bring in others too
it doesn’t matter who
every part of you is thinking
members of allihoopa
lets lets lets lets sing
just try
to live in the moment
rely
on your confidence and show it
collaborate with others
they’re sisters and your brothers
let’s get this party started
let’s get this party started
take turns at the mic
we’ll have back up for you
you gotta let your light shine
just find your words and sing them through
welcome to the zoo
get ready for the cue
it’s definitely time to hit play
you know just what to do
i want to do it too
in culmination we can calibrate
it doesn’t matter who
we’re the allihoopa crew
modulation captivate to actuate
members of allihoopa
lets lets lets lets sing
just try
to live in the moment
rely
on your confidence and show it
collaborate with others
they’re sisters and your brothers
let’s get this party started
ooh-wah
it’s time for roll call
one by one enthrall all all all
alli,hoopa
ooh-wah
we are the wonderwall
rise and stand tall all all all
alli,hoopa
confession
This song / project is an hommage to the very first music community I had ever been a part of. It was called Allihoopa. Through this community I had the honors of connecting, meeting and collaborating with many talented artists, producers and singers. Over the years our community grew bigger and we become a tighter bunch of musicians, producers, artists and singers. Sadly a day of goodbye from the Allihoopa team came so soon and very abrupt. Many of us were left to quickly find new homes and form new smaller Allihoopa communities. It's been years now since Allihoopa closed its website and fortunately I have been in touch with many of the awesome talented people.
The original composition was created by my friend and producer Bernard Shai Lelchuk (aka Psymed). Originally he shared his composition on Allihoopa and I was immediately drawn to it. I quickly worked to put lyrics to the song and, well..., the project never got done before Allihoopa had shut down. Several years later, I revisited the collaboration that was stored within my Reason Studios files. After a quick listen it sparked that old flame for Allihoopa and I needed to finish this song for good. I completely deconstructed the song and rebuilt it from the ground up using Bernard Shai Lelchuk's original as my inspiration. What you hear now is actually very different compared to the original.
It doesn't just end there. The re-imagined and reconstructed song took on a new life that manifested itself into the genre I love #synthwave! I reached out to my friends within the synthwave community to find anyone who would be interested in putting their own spin to the song. This is where two amazing and talented friends of mine came into the picture: Neilio (aka Neil Gibson) and Impulse Control Disorder (aka Frank Svornotten). Both of these amazing friends gave me two completely different versions of the song. I am very happy with their interpretations. I encourage you to check out their own personal projects / works via their facebook pages.
This song spawned two versions from these artists:
- Members of Allihoopa (feat. Neilio)
- Members of Allihoopa [Impulse Control Disorder Quench Mix]
Neilio's version is full of 80s electrifying guitar vibes that make your ears perk and mind race. Thank you so much Neilio for your brilliant contribution.
Impulse Control Disorder [Frank's] version is cold, dark and mystifying - his guitar style surrounds you with vibes of The Cure. Feel his vibes give you goose bumps for days. Thank you so much Frank for your twisted contribution.
To all the men who helped make this a fun, amazing and wonderful song: Bernard Shai Lelchuk, Neil Gibson & Frank Svornotten, Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.
