    The inspiration for this song was honestly based on a connection I had with an amazing music producer from Sweden. I will not mention their name so to honor their privacy. Remotely through online calls / videos we shared intimate moments of our lives that we would never tell anyone so causally – Deep secrets that we keep within ourselves. It was because of that connection we had, the song manifested. The music composed beautifully pulled out the words from within me – I express myself and my deep desire to share a moment in time with this amazing person. Though we will never have that chance in real life, the closest I can get is through this song – the music and the lyrics. In summary: It is a personal perspective about having a heta drömmar (wet dream) about that special someone you are extremely attracted to. Expressed through song and lyrics is the passion and connection one feels towards the other.

    The story behind this song has a few twists and turns in it. In the beginning a guy from California name Jerome posted something online and I liked it. He does christian music. I sent him a message commenting about his song that I liked and that led to a possible collaboration. He sent over his instrumental and I worked on the lyrics for what was then and is still now “Tonight”. We ended up going our separate ways due to lack of communication. The little bit of work I had done sat in my external hard drive collecting digital dust. Many months go by. One day I’m strolling through all my files of unfinished songs and came across this one. I knew I couldn’t move forward with the original music because it was not mine nor did I have Jerome’s permission, so that left me to start from scratch. I took the time to reconstruct and redesign the music and the arrangement – track by track , instrument by instrument. I contacted Charles from Sweden to get his take on it and he liked it enough to wanna do some vocals on it with me. I loved what he did. He asked if he can do a remix. I screamed “YES!”

    I had a blast with this collaboration. This instrumental is an original by Charles Sterntorp. At the time he share this song via Facebook looking for a vocalist, we had not known each other then. I offered to give it a shot and if he liked it we can go from there. He had a few other vocalists give their take on the song (vocally) and I was fortunate that mine stood out amongst the rest. This is how we began our friendship – over music and the fact that we both use the same DAW: Reason Studios. Charles lives in Sweden and I live in the US so we did all our work remotely. The entire experience was really great for me. Ever since this song and new found friendship from across the world, I have been confident to reach out other producers / artists to continue my journey of collaborations. The lyrics? Well when I first heard the instrumental it reminded of that other song “Call me maybe” by Carley Ray Jespen. I used that song as a muse to find my lyrics and melody to this song. The song is about me going to a friends party and seeing a really good looking person walk into the room – some I’ve never met before. I felt an instant attraction towards them and hoping that by making eye contact they too would feel the same way. The song goes on to share my fantasy about leaving the party to going back to their place for our own party; yeah a party for 2.
